Description

The Bus Priority Program aims to develop road related infrastructure which provides priority bus traffic corridors to assist Public Transport Authority (PTA) buses in achieving published schedules, and maintaining public transport as a convenient and efficient alternative to the private vehicle for Perth residents.

At this stage the PTA has completed several projects under the Bus Priority Program, with each project to date being individually tendered. In order to streamline the procurement process, and achieve greater efficiencies for contractors delivering works and subsequently PTA Value for Money outcomes, PTA developed a Program Partnership Strategy.

The guiding principle behind the Program Partnership Strategy is one of collaboration between the partners. The program is structured so that knowledge gained and lessons learnt by members of the partnership are shared by the members and fed back into future stages of the program.
