The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Kiln & Outdoor Learning Area at North Lakes SC, located at Joyner Circuit, North Lakes QLD 4509, as part of the (DIRECT) program.

The proposed scope of works includes the design and construction of the new Shade Structure to the Outdoor Learning Area as well as the refurbishment and modifications to the Art Kiln Room, including the supply and installation of a new kiln. The locations of work are in the centre of the school campus with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by September 2025.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works

• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1,000,000

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
