Demolition and Mine Site Cleanup - Reids Ridge Abandoned Mine Site

This Tender relates to Works required at Reids Ridge for the safe deconstruction and removal of all remaining infrastructure, plant, equipment, machinery, chemical storage vessels, general rubbish, and debris. All materials, recyclables, waste, and general rubbish must be transported off site and disposed of in appropriately licensed recycling and waste facilities. The abandoned Reids Ridge gold mine is located on Badimia country within the Karara Rangeland Park, in the Midwest region of Western Australia, 342 km northeast of Perth, Figure 1. The Karara Rangeland Park is a popular wildflower and camping tourist destination. The Reids Ridge site was declared an abandoned mine site under the Mining Rehabilitation Fund Act 2012 (MRFA) s9(1) on the 11th of April 2023. The tallest structure on site (the main shaft head frame) has been measured at approximately 12.3m. It is specifically noted that structures are deteriorated, and that no structural engineering assessments or hazardous chemical (Hazchem) assessments have been completed.
