Regional eHealth Project Request for Solution

Queensland Health is seeking to create an innovative partnership with a vendor, to collaboratively deliver an eHealth solution to support integrated healthcare delivery in primary, community and hospital-based settings across Far North Queensland.
The scope of this transformational initiative will be to undertake an Implementation Planning Study (IPS) to scope, design and develop an eHealth solution. At a high level, tangible outcomes of this project and successful solution delivery will result in healthcare facilities operating with:

• an integrated, fit-for-purpose and reliable point-of-care solution
• shared, accessible and comprehensive patient health information
• scheduled and coordinated healthcare service delivery
• enhanced Telehealth utilisation and services
• extensive and accurate Business Intelligence capabilities.

The Regional eHealth Project will adhere to Queensland Health’s Co-Design Procurement Methodology to drive collaboration between Queensland Health and the selected vendor. The preferred vendor will be passionate about delivering a solution that is fit-for-purpose for rural and remote healthcare settings and ultimately improves the health and wellbeing of people throughout Far North Queensland.
As an outcome of a successful IPS and acceptable final bid, the vendor may be invited to implement the designed solution under an implementation contract.

The Regional eHealth Project is a joint eHealth initiative between the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service and the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service.

Request for Solution (RFS) Documents
The RFS and RFS Response Forms have been provided in two separate documents. Vendors are required to submit their response by the closing date.

Key Information

• This RFS is open from Friday 26 August 2016 and closes 5.00pm (AEST) Friday 7 October 2016.
• Interested respondents should register their intention to respond to this RFS on QTenders by 5.00pm (AEST) Friday 23 September 2016 and to submit any questions for clarification via the QTenders website by 5.00pm (AEST) Friday 30 September 2016.
• A briefing session for interested respondents will be held between 10.00am to 11.30am on Thursday 15 September in the Bowman Room, Level 1, Christie Offices, 320 Adelaide Street, Brisbane.
