The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a Block C Hospitality Kitchen refurbishment at Earnshaw SC, located at Cnr Earnshar & Tuffnell Road, Banyo QLD 4014, as part of the School Infrastructure Enhancement (SIE) program.
The works include enclosure of part of the veranda to create more function space, a complete refurbishment including new fixtures, fittings and equipment as well as a new café and storage area. The position of the building is at the side of the school with easy site access and ample working space. The remaining classrooms in Block C need to remain operational during the works. All works are to be completed by June 2025.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1 Million
QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
