Supply of one (1) only Compact Track Loader, Attachments and Trailer

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) on behalf of the Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing are seeking offers for the supply of one (1) only Compact Track Loader, attachments and heavy duty trailer, to fulfil the day-to day management requirements.

The Compact track loader will be used to:

1. Enhance fire operation safety and can be used for mopping up, pre burn preparation and wildfire suppression as they can sweep firebreaks, and respond to spot-overs much faster than a bulldozer with a comparable or better efficiency
2. Deliver vegetation management improvements by aesthetically mulching vegetation rather than blading and stockpiling.
3. Material shifting and loading capability where it can be used as a loader and a grader.
4. Firebreak and road maintenance improvements where it can correctly form road profiles and construct drainage points.

The compact track loader, attachments and trailer, is to have a combined weight of less than 8 tonnes and be able to be towed by the Department’s medium rigid trucks.

Delivery to Gympie by 19 May 2017 is required
