DVA employs 2500 staff throughout Australia. We have offices located in each state and territory capital, as well as 26 smaller regional offices (See Attachment A for details ).As part of DVA's commitment to the safety, health and wellbeing of employees, we require a single national provider to deliver a program of Health Checks to selected and/or interested DVA employees located Australia wide. The Employee Health Checks' purpose is to develop employees knowledge and understanding of healthy lifestyle practices.The Health Checks will also aim to increase awareness of preventable disease, and develop strategies to promote a healthier lifestyle.It is anticipated that Comprehensive Health Checks will include, but will not limited to:blood pressure, blood glucose level, healthy weight assessment, and smoking, alcohol and other risk factors assessment.The Health Checks must be provided by health professionals who have at least tertiary level qualifications, or equivalent, in a health related field and maintain registration and/or membership of the relevant professional association for the duration of the agreement.
