ISHCERF will establish and grow a new Integrated Skin Cancer Centre to provide high-quality, affordable and accessible service to manage and treat patients with or who at high risk of developing skin cancer. The model will aim to scale patient numbers through operational expansion and wider engagement with GPs, specialists and the local community. The provision of this service aims to re-establish a local service following the withdrawal of specialists services to the LHD. The service will aim to provide residents of FWLHD with a service that is based within the district rather than have to travel to metropolitan centres for treatment. The service will aim to provide more complex care with the support of specialists and GP upskilling.
