QLD Department of Environment and Science
Supply of Services to Deliver Assessment of Queensland’s Fugitive Emissions and Industry Abatement Options
Details
Description
This project will ultimately improve the understanding of Queensland’s fugitive emissions and provide recommendations for further work on industry action for efficient and effective abatement of fugitive emissions. Proactive action on fugitive abatement could be improved by providing industry with improved information on the viability of efficient and effective abatement technologies.
This scope of work includes completion of two major phases of work:
Phase 1- providing an analysis of GHG emissions overall across all sectors and with specific focus on fugitive emissions in the resources sector for Queensland; and
Phase 2- assessment of options for industry monitoring and management of emissions including the use of technologies and best practice solutions to effectively abate fugitive emissions.
A working group with members from the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy (DNRME) and the Department of Environment and Science (DES) will be managing the progress of this project.
