Overview

DCOH is excited to announce it has been awarded Packages 1 & 3 of the EST07444 Robertson Barracks Base Improvements Program (RBBIP).

Project Overview

EST07444 Robertson Barracks Base Improvements Program involves delivering a range of facilities and infrastructure, as detailed below.

Package One - Living-In Accommodation and associated works;

Package Three - Mid-Term Refreshment and Site Services works.

Project Objectives

The objectives of this Project are as follows:

  • To deliver the work at Robertson Barracks, as outlined in the description of the work, by the date for completion;
  • to achieve a zero-harm outcome through uncompromising management of risk, particularly those risks relating to health, safety, and the environment;
  • delivery of the works to align with the project schedule requirements and the Base operations, and
  • to complete the works promptly without negatively impacting the operation of the Base.

Package One - Living-In Accommodation and Associated Works

This work description relates only to Package One (LIA and associated works).

The design drawings and specifications detail the full scope of the works, which will be provided to successful shortlisted suppliers.

The scope includes the construction of:

  • There are six (6) LIA buildings, four (4) of which are three (3) storeys and two (2) of which are two (2) storeys.
  • Covered walkways connecting LIA buildings to existing covered walkways in the North and South.
  • Architectural internal and external finishes, fittings, furniture and equipment (FF&E)
  • Civil works that include bulk earthworks, stormwater, sewer drainage, roads, and car parks
  • Four new kiosk substations
  • HV electrical, LV electrical, mechanical, communications, security, fire protection, fire water, potable water, sanitary and sewer supporting services and connections
  • Structural works, foundations, facade, roofing, safe roof access and waterproofing works
  • External landscaping works
  • Detailed survey and services identification, including GPR, service depths and locating before any works for the associated area of works
  • Internal and external wayfinding and signage
  • Interface and coordination with Package Three works
  • All associated site services connections and integration works
  • All associated testing, commissioning and completion handover works

The Package One Works also include the demolition of:

  • The existing Sergeant's VIP Accommodation (6 Room) (G616) is in the southern cluster
  • The existing Hughes field (including lighting) is in the northern cluster
  • Redundant services associated with the works back to the nearest node or isolation point

Package Three - Mid-Terms Refreshment and Site Services Works

The scope includes the construction of:

  • Nine (9) new fire pump houses, including tanks, pumps and all associated equipment and connections
  • Potable water system upgrades, including associated pipework, valves and meters across the Base
  • Fire water system upgrades, including new fire ring mains, pipework, valves, and hydrants across the Base
  • Relocation and new potable water connection to authority mains in coordination with Power and Water Corporation (P&WC) and all associated works
  • Replacement of fire hydrants as identified across the Base
  • New fire booster cabinets, as identified across the Base
  • High Voltage rectification and maintenance works as identified across the Base
  • HV electrical, LV electrical, communications, fire water, potable water and sewer infrastructure precinct upgrades to support the associated works
  • LV electrical, mechanical and communications supporting services and connections for the new facilities
  • Civil works that include bulk earthworks, stormwater, roadways, reinstatement and sewer drainage
  • Structural and foundation works
  • Landscaping remediation works
  • Detailed survey and services identification, including GPR, service depths and locating before any works for the associated area of works
  • Interface and coordination with Package One works
  • All associated testing, commissioning and completion handover works
  • All associated remediation works and making good associated with the service upgrades
  • All associated site services connections and works, including integration with existing systems
  • Pressure testing of certain sections of pipework. This work will be required to identify additional pipework replacement or upgrade requirements due to incomplete testing that cannot be completed during the design development stage

The Package Three Works also include the demolition of:

  • Existing fire pump house (I0881)
  • Removal of redundant services associated with the Works to the nearest node or isolation point
