Description
The Department of Environment and Science wishes to decommission Cook Dam on Springvale Station.
A notch and release method is the preferred approach to preclude removal of the entire dam wall. A rock fishway has been designed for incorporation into the decommissioning of Cook Dam. For ease of construction, the design is a rock pool fishway.The concept is to incorporate the fishway into the excavated spillway channel so that it can operate at low flows up to and including a 1:10 ARI event.
The complete contract requirements are specified in Attachment 1 Project Brief and associated drawings.
