ACIAR is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably capable organisations to deliver a Plant Biosecurity Capacity Development Program through a two phase process comprising
Phase 1: Scoping and development of a full business plan of activities for the Program through consultation with key African plant biosecurity partners, including an inaugural regional plant biosecurity workshop to be run in Nairobi (first half 2014); and
Phase 2: Implementation of approved Program business plan activities in Africa and Australia (2014/15 and 2015/16 financial years).
The selected provider (a single or a consortium of Australian biosecurity agencies or providers) will be required to work in consultation with the Food Security Centre to develop and implement a business plan for the Program, and broker partners, plan and run activities. The provider will also be required to measure the performance of the Program and regularly report on milestones and achievements to the Centre.
