Description
The Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation, and Safety (DEMIRS) seeks a contractor to enhance and maintain the public WAMEX (Western Australian Mineral Exploration) and Mineral Drillholes database. The contractor will be responsible for: Refreshing the Mineral Drillholes Database Platform every six months as updates are provided by DEMIRS.Performing OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and text extraction on WAMEX open file reports at regular six-month intervals to ensure accessible and up-to-date information.Deploying the extracted drillhole data and related text documents to the cloud, hosted on two AWS servers for scalable and reliable access. This project aims to improve data accessibility and streamline public access to critical mineral exploration information.
