Project TIGER: Contractor Register

Expertise is required to design and develop components to extend the functionality of the TIGER system in the following areas: Development and implementation of relational database management systems for textual and spatial data: Database forms/application development; Developing GIS applications; and Developing robust internet applications for delivery of text, image and spatial information. Candidates for the register must provide evidence of expertise in one or more of the following: Oracle 9i database development and implementation, experience with spatial data replication is desirable; CASE tool driven application and database development including experience with the Blueprint CASE tool; Implementation of Oracle 9i Application Server and suite of tools including Portal, Discoverer, Reports or Workflow; Programing Oracle PL/SQL, JavaScript, HTML, VBA, or Java and other object oriented programing techniques; Implementing web services to Open GIS Consortium standards including Web Map Service and Web Feature Service; Developing and implementing GIS applications for maintaining data stored using Oracle Spatial; and Developing products/applications based on Microsoft Office, experience of interfacing Microsoft Office with Oracle database is desirable.
