Power Supply and Capacity Upgrade Works into Hotel Rottnest and Dome Cafe (Stage 2)

The Rottnest Island Authority is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to undertake power supply and capacity upgrade works into Hotel Rottnest and the Dome in accordance with the required specifications, standards and codes.

In 2008 a new Dome Café was constructed on Rottnest Island. The Hotel Rottnest also underwent refurbishment at this time. The need to upgrade power capacity to these establishments was identified and, as an interim measure, pending the installation of a step down transformer behind Hotel Rottnest, low voltage cable was routed direct from the Rottnest Powerhouse and connected to the Dome Café. Low voltage cabling was also installed from the site of the proposed step down transformer to Hotel Rottnest however remains unconnected.
