Capricornia - School of Distance Education ? Administration Refurbishment (With Design Responsibility)

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of Block A (Administration) refurbishment at Capricornia - School of Distance Education in Rockhampton, located at 241-259 Farm Street Kawana, QLD, 4701 ,as part of the School Direct program.

The works include reconfiguration of the existing administration, demolition of the secure store and toilets, construction of new offices, kitchenette and meeting rooms. All new finishes and fittings as well as the construction of 4 new teaching studios in an existing modular building. The position of the buildings are at the front of the school with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by the end of March 2023.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1.0m

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance

It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
