Description

The Commonwealth Government of Australia (Commonwealth) represented by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is seeking offers for the provision of pathology services relating to the Australian Health Survey (AHS).This exciting new public health information initiative is being planned in close consultation with the Department of Health and Ageing and the National Heart Foundation of Australia, who have provided supporting funding for new components of the collection. Part of this initiative is a new voluntary component of the AHS, to be known as the National Health MeasuresSurvey (NHMS) that will collect biomedical markers of chronic disease and nutrition status.

While the ABS is able to provide expertise to collect socio-demographic, health, risk factor information, as well as anthropometric and blood pressure measures, it will need to contract specialised services to obtain the biomedical data required for the NHMS.

Tenderers are invited to tender for partial services, where they are unable to provide all services.
