Description
The existing 700kL Clear Water Storage reservoir, located at Maxwell Drive, Wahgunyah is a reinforced concrete tank approximately 11m internal diameter and 8m height. The existing roof is corroded and requires replacement. In addition, the current roof and tank access arrangements do not meet current NEW standards and also require replacement.
North East Water has completed a detailed design that will be issued as part of an RfT to the open market seeking to engage a Principal Contractor under a construction contract to deliver this project.
A high-level scope of works is as follows;
• Demolition and disposal of the existing roof and access ladder
• Supply, fabrication and installation of new structural beams, purlins and roofing,
• Supply, fabrication and installation of a new access tower, roof hatches and balustrade,
• Supply, fabrication and installation of internal pipework and access ladder,
• Hydrostatic testing of the new roof
