Procurement of 1075 units of Motorola APX Next Smart Portable Radios, associated accessories and services. Motorola APX Next Portable radios utilise PHT. Portable Hybrid Technology (PHT) provides a redundancy path for radio communications between operational staff and Control Centres without the need to carry multiple communication devices. PHT radios increase the footprint of the radio network and decrease indoor blackspot areas, leading to improved levels of radio communications and connectivity. PHT is a future-proof solution allowing connection to NSW Ambulance Control Centres: a. Via an LTE network connection, or b. A known Wi-Fi network, or c. Via the PSN RF network and d. Has the potential for connection to future mission critical LTE networks as they are developed, such as the Public Safety Mobile Broadband (PSMB) Network.
