Description
PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA (PathWest) is installing a dedicated post mortem Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner for Forensic Pathology purposes which will be used to perform full body (i.e. head to toe) scans on all bodies admitted to the state mortuary under the jurisdiction of the Coroner.
To accommodate the CT Scanner, PathWest require a radiological construction fitout of two (2) existing store rooms in the basement of J block of QEII Medical Centre Campus as an extension to the adjacent state mortuary.
The works include all new partitions, ceilings, fixtures, fittings, finishes and shielding complying with medical imaging requirements and services including new power supply and submain to power the CT Scanner, and upgrades to other services all as detailed in the Schedule 2 Statement of Requirements.
