Description

This Request aims to seek appropriate service providers to develop and provide non-accredited community based learning programs which use innovative practices to re-engage people from equity target groups into training and improve future employment opportunities.

1. New innovative project models; and

2. Projects that develop a social community enterprise or business incubation model.

Target groups are:

· People from new and emerging communities and humanitarian refugees;

· People with disabilities; and

· Disengaged Youth.

The Equity Development and Innovation (EDI) program provides funding to organisations to provide non-accredited and non-formal learning programs in a community setting. The target groups are marginalised people who have disengaged from formal training, or who do not have the confidence or skills to undertake formal training. The focus is on learning activities that build pathways for adults of all ages into further education, training and/or employment.

The EDI programs aim to:

· Develop skills and confidence for people to access further education and training in preparation for work; and

· Promote systemic change by developing good practice in delivery to equity groups.

The outcomes expected of this program include:

· learning activities that build pathways for adults of all ages into further education, training and/or employment; and

· gain work readiness skills; and

· become less reliant on welfare.

Approved projects will be funded to a maximum of $55,000 (exclusive of GST) for the first year.

Respondents must lodge their offers in Electronic Form to [email hidden] - as per the instructions in Part A, Clause 4 of the Request document.
