District Metering Area replacement Ipswich and Brisbane

Description

~~QUU has established a number of District Metering Areas (DMAs) throughout the Brisbane and Ipswich water supply network to efficiently manage water supply, demand and pressures. DMAs are discrete areas of the water distribution network that are created by closing network valves to enable better management of pressure and flow demands by metering flows.

A number of the existing DMAs are thought to be passing water through defective boundary valves that are normally closed. This is reducing the effectiveness of the DMA to control flow and pressure.

This project aims to replace existing non-functional flow meters with new electromagnetic flow meters, install a new PRV and commission the DMAs.
