Standing Offer Arrangement For the Transfer of Modular Bodies on Prisoner Escort Vehicles Belonging to Queensland Corrective Services

This standing offer arrangement is for the transfer of up to 10 bodies from retiring escort vehicles to new cab/chassis vehicles. The escort vehicle is used predominantly to transport persons with property generally within a radius of less than 200km. The existing body is built on an Isuzu NPR350 cab/chassis, modified to allow recertification to omnibus category ADR requirements at 7000kg GVM.
The truck cab chassis that the body is to be mounted to is not part of this tender and will be independently supplied to the successful tenderer after the contract award at a date to be agreed by the Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) and the successful tenderer.
During the transfer the body will require modification and installation of additional equipment. The vehicle when modified will accommodate (14) fourteen persons in (6) six segregated cells in the rear body module, in additional to (2) two QCS staff members in the forward cabin.
