Independent Commissioning Agent Services - JCU CTEC Project Cairns

You are invited to submit an offer as per the Reqeust for Tender (RFT) for Independent Commissioning Agent (ICA) services for JCU’s Cairns Tropical Enterprise Centre (CTEC) project.

Project Brief

The project will be delivered by way of a 2 Stage Managing Contractor (MC) arrangement (or similar open book model), with the Independent Commissioning Agent (ICA) engaged directly by JCU for both stages. Expressions of Interest (EOI) have been invited for Principal Contractors to deliver the approximate 3,500m² building, with a preferred contractor proposed to be engaged for Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) through Developed Design (DD) prior to novating the design team for Stage 2. Stage 2 is expected to commence in February 2022. Practical Completion (PC) for the Works is scheduled for mid-June 2024. The Independent Commissioning Agent (ICA) engagement will extend 12 months beyond Project Closeout date.

Scope of Work and Specifications

The scope and specifications for the services required are detailed in Part C of the RFT document. This project is part of a federally funded arrangement and as such project obligations also form part of the requirements detailed in the RFT document.
