Description
Dairy Food Safety Victoria (DFSV) is seeking submissions from laboratory service providers to provide analytical testing services for the Australian Milk Residue Analysis (AMRA) Survey. The analytes covered in the survey include a range of veterinary, agricultural chemicals and environmental contaminants in raw cow's milk. Suitably qualified laboratories will be required to have NATA accredited test methods, meet method performance parameters and the ability to demonstrate satisfactory performance.
The services required include:
- analyse raw milk samples
- provide certificate of analysis (CoA)
- issue bi-monthly electronic reports of samples pending and reported.
DFSV is a statutory authority established by the Victorian Parliament under the Dairy Act 2000. As the independent food safety regulator of Victoria's dairy industry, DFSV's role is to ensure that national food safety standards are met through licensing all dairy businesses operating in Victoria and ensuring compliance with their food safety program.
DFSV co-ordinate the AMRA Survey on behalf of the Australian Government, Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
