Homes NSW has partnered with the BUILDING 4.0 CRC LIMITED to undertake research, development and delivery of Modern Methods of Construction program. The purpose of the program is to undertake research on best practice, analyse Homes NSW portfolio, product and processes to develop an operational model to scale the delivery of Modern Methods of Construction. Phase 1 – Scoping, strategy and development (complete) The first phase of the project was focused on scoping, strategy and development. It involved 3 pillars tenants, land and housing types, product, supply chain and platform, change management and housing delivery. The first phase concluded in June 2025 and informed the development of the strategy and implementation plan to embed MMC into housing delivery. Phase 2 – Implementation and refinement Phase 2 will build on the learnings, outcomes and recommendations from Phase 1 with a greater focus on “implementation and refinement”. It involves product and market development, supporting infrastructure and implementation support to measure and evaluate the success of the program.
