Maroon State School SIE Heritage (Car Park Driveway and Oval Works) D and C

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of a new carpark, driveway and oval refurbishment works at the heritage listed Maroon State School, located at 2772 Boonah/Rathdowney Road, Maroon QLD 4310 as part of the School Infrastructure Enhancement (SIE) program.

The works include the removal of the existing drop off driveway, design and construction of a new car park, lowering the existing driveway, construction of a new footpath and refurbishment of the oval space that has been reclaimed. The works involved changes to the only driveway access to the school on a busy regional road with limited site access and working space. All works are to be completed by 27 January 2020.

Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:
• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $ 1 Million

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
