Panel of Doctors to complete former Coal Mine Worker Health Assessments

The Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy (DNRME) seeks to engage a Supplier or Suppliers to coordinate and provide former worker assessments to former workers.
This will include coordination and provision of:

1. former worker assessments for former workers determined to be entitled to such an assessment by DNRME by an approved supervising doctor or an approved examining doctor (supervised by an approved supervising doctor);
2. as part of each former worker assessment, a chest examination, a spirometry, a comparative assessment of the former worker's spirometry if the results of one (1) or more previous spirometries for the former worker are in the possession of the chief executive or doctor, a chest x-ray examination and a further reading of the chest x-ray the subject of the examination by approved providers;
3. referrals to appropriate medical specialists in accordance with the Coal Mine Workers’ Health Scheme Clinical pathways guideline;
4. a copy and explanation of the completed former worker assessment report to former workers or their representative and, if requested by the former worker, another doctor nominated by the former worker;
5. a copy of the completed former worker assessment form and the information or documents on which the assessment was based, including relevant medical specialist reports and images, to DNRME; and
6. collated, itemised invoices to DNRME.

The Supplier may be an individual approved supervising doctor or a practice that employs or contracts approved supervising doctors.
