GS LLS is developing a program to train local Cultural Fire Practitioners with the aim of this becoming a self-sustaining cohort of providers able to offer this service to interested land managers into the future. The program will be a mentorship program up to three years where local people are provided with training, support and Cultural Burn opportunities.GS LLS propose working with Firesticks Alliance to deliver the mentoring program. Firesticks have delivered similar programs with other LLS regions and are able to provide the full suite of required services.
