Description

As part of the Reform and Development at Resources Safety (RADARS) program Mines Safety branch inspectors have been required to obtain the PSP51904 Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection) and the BSB51307 Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety via completing evidence folders that allow them to demonstrate current competency.
The evidence folders are divided into 19 sections, each of which reflects aspects of inspectors’ duties.
PSP51904 Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection) has now been superseded by PSP51912 - Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection) and BSB51307 Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety has now been superseded by BSB51312 Diploma of Work Health and Safety.
This provides an opportunity to streamline the existing process.
The essential element is that the certificates must be awarded for competencies demonstrated by inspectors performing duties as part of their employment with Resources Safety Division of the Department of Mines and Petroleum.
It is a requirement of this training delivery service that the provider must be able to award certification of the diplomas.
