Residential Character Definition and Heritage Preliminary Survey.

The City of Unley has a vision to create a series of re-invigorated urban villages, interwoven into the existing valued historic fabric of the city – the “City of Villages”.This vision seeks the preservation of the intrinsic character of the established residential suburbs while providing opportunity for regeneration and increased diversity in appropriate areas and mainly around the main corridors and strip centres.Tenders are invited for the following study that has been identified as a key element needing early determination in the implementation of the ultimate vision.

Unley Urban Morphology Study: Residential Character Definition and Heritage Preliminary Survey – involving the comprehensive historical appraisal, field survey, analysis of the intrinsic and diverse character of Unley’s residential areas and the definition of appropriate corresponding precincts and supporting key design principles.Also to take the opportunity during the character survey to draw out further heritage places or areas warranting further research.
