SA Department of Education
Office for Early Childhood Development (OECD) - Scholarship Management
Details
Description
Background:
In response to the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care, the South Australian (SA) government has committed to reduce the rate of SA children entering school developmentally vulnerable from the current 23.8% to 15% over 20 years.
A key approach to achieving this is through the introduction of the universal provision of high-quality preschool for all three- and four-year-olds in SA, including those in long day care, government, and other services.
The staggered roll out of Universal three-year-old-preschool starting in 2026 will require additional early childhood teachers, educators, and leaders.
To attract and build the required early childhood workforce, The Office for Early Childhood Development (OECD) will deliver a range of targeted scholarship and grant programs, to be implemented from July 2024.
Purpose:
To support implementation, OECD seeks to engage with a Program Administrator to manage and administer grant funding to recipients. This Invitation to Supply process is being undertaken to identify suitable organisations that can provide the required services.
