RFT re. provision & support of a Digital Annual Reporting Tool, a Transparency Portal and a Performance Data Repository

All Commonwealth entities and companies are required by legislation to publish their performance reporting information on an existing Transparency Portal, in addition to tabling hard copies of these documents.

These services have been provided under contracts that will shortly expire. Finance seeks to engage a suitably qualified supplier to continue to build and deploy the required components of the system, as well as host and manage all elements of the System.

The System will include the following.

1. Digital Annual Reporting Tool (DART): a web-based authoring tool for Australian Government annual report coordinators, drafters and approvers to draft and submit content which can be workflowed through the drafting, review, approval and coordination stages of content creation.

2. Transparency Portal: a web-based presentation portal interface that will contain HTML versions of all Australian Government annual reports, and (in the first instance) PDFs of entity and company Corporate Plans and Portfolio Budget Statements. This will transition to including all these documents in digital format in the future so that information in them can be linked.

3. Performance Data Repository: a managed storage system for the documents and user-created content prepared in the Digital Annual Reporting Tool and presented on the Transparency Portal which is able to provide access to this content as if it was a data resource.
