The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) Learning and Development Portfolio is responsible for delivering an Effective Leadership Behaviour Training program which consists of the below courses:
Course | Participants (generally) |
Leadership 1 | Developed and delivered internally for DFES support personnel. |
Leadership 2 | Station Officers (first line supervisors), Community Services Managers (volunteers and community leaders), DFES Corporate Personnel (levels 3, 4, and 5). |
Leadership 3 | District Officers (strategic managers), DFES Corporate Management Personnel (levels 6, 7, and 8). |
Leadership 4 | Superintendents (level 9 and above). |
DFES is currently seeking a suitable organisation or organisations to develop and deliver the Effective Leadership Behaviour Training courses for Leadership 2 and Leadership 3.
It is expected the training will be a mixture of off-the-shelf and bespoke training tailored to meet the needs of DFES, and will be adaptable to the differing leadership levels in each of the courses.
The courses are to be delivered in the context of an emergency services organisation, both operationally and generally, and in line with DFES goals and values.
