Description
This project will involve upgrading an existing chemical laboratory to toxic suite capability, provision of a new Physical Containment Level 3 (PC3) area and chemical laboratory, a TS secure communications facility, security upgrades for HPPD facilities and the site, a store facility, an emergency management centre and associated works. It is anticipated that the majority of the works will occur as an upward extension to an existing facility. Elements of this project will require specialist laboratory and security skills and tenderers are encouraged to ensure they are able to provide a team with these specialist skills.
Construction is anticipated to occur between February 2012 and August 2013.
The total value of the project is estimated to be in the order of $27m.
The total value of the Design Services Consultant's activities is estimated to be in the order of $2-2.4m.
