Description

The proposed works are to be undertaken at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre, a centre where the traditional custodians of the national park can share their stories and traditional laws, located approximately 1km south of Uluru. The Cultural Centre is a free-form steel and timber structure built from locally made mud bricks. It was opened in 1995 to mark the tenth anniversary of Uluru-Kata Tjuta being handed back to its Aboriginal traditional owners.

The proposed works for the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre comprise of a mechanical works refurbishment of the site including new additional air-conditioning units to reduce the internal temperature in the warm periods of the year, exhaust system, water treatment system, building repair and refurbishment works and other associated works.
