WA Department of Parks and Wildlife
Wet Hire of Machinery and Chopper Roller to undertake Firebreak Maintenance in the Goldfields Region
Details
Description
The Department of Parks and Wildlife (Parks & Wildlife) is seeking a suitably qualified Contractor for the wet hire of a machine and chopper roller (complete with qualified and experienced operators) to undertake construction and maintenance of firebreaks.
One of the key roles of the Parks and Wildlife is management of bushfire risk on estate that we manage.
Bushfires are inevitable and unplanned. Each year Parks and Wildlife responds to more than 600 bushfires that occur on or near land managed by the department. In order to protect the public and staff the department creates fuel modified firebreaks to reduce risk of impact to travelling and visiting public, and improve the safety of all firefighters.
