Provision of Tenancy Advice and Education Services in Western Australia from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2017

This Department of Commerce seeks responses from organisations that are capable of delivering tenancy advice and education services throughout Western Australia from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2017, under a formal service agreement or agreements.

The department anticipates that the tenancy advice and education services program will continue to be delivered through a network of independently‑functioning, collaborative service units, in a structure similar to that which is currently operating.

Through this tender Respondents will have the opportunity to offer:

· Local Service Unit services in any one or a number of the fifteen prescribed Service Areas; or

· Central Resource Unit Services only (whole of WA); or

· Delivery of Central Resource Unit (whole of WA) and several, but not all, Local Service Unit Services; or

· Delivery of a full tenancy education and advices services network model.

Regardless of which option is taken up, cooperation between Local Service Units, and with the Central Resource Unit, will be mandatory.

The anticipated outcome is an improved capability and willingness of community members and recognised community groups to address tenancy‑related issues with a minimum of assistance, intervention or advocacy by third parties.
