WAHDP - Senior Technical Lead

Scope: The Real-time Demand Data Platform (RDDP) Program is responsible for developing and implementing an Enterprise Data Platform, with near real-time capabilities, to support the new State Health Operations Centre (SHOC), while also laying the necessary foundations for a scalable platform to meet the future strategic needs of WA Health. RDDP requires a Senior Technical Lead to oversee the proof of concept (PoC) implementation of the Informatica IDMC. The successful candidate will lead and deliver technical services to enable the effective evaluation of Informatica IDMC for data ingestion (near real time, batch, API), transformation, data cataloguing, data governance, and data lineage. This role requires a blend of data engineering expertise, hands on technical solution experience, data architecture expertise, and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities: Lead the PoC delivery: Ensure that the overall PoC outcomes are achieved within the required timeframes. Deliver artifacts which support the evaluation of the solution. Represent the project as Informatica IDMC expert. Present PoC findings and recommendations to senior management. Technical leadership and delivery: Oversee the setup and configuration of Informatica. Ensure the design for data ingestion, data transformation, data cataloguing is fit for purpose and data security is safeguarded. Document and deliver data transformation as agreed with the project manager. Understand and document outcomes from solution testing. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the PoC. Documentation and Training: Document the PoC process, configurations, and findings. Ensure knowledge transfer and support for the post-PoC phase. Required Qualifications: Qualified Informatica IDMC professional with extensive experience working with production workflows. Minimum of eight years of experience in data engineering and ETL processes. Strong understanding of data ingestion (near real time, batch, API), data transformation, data cataloguing, data governance, and data lineage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Significant experience ensuring data security in dataflow designing.
