WA Country Health Service
Acute Patient Transfer Coordination Solution
Details
Description
The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) has a strong network of public hospitals, health services and nursing posts located across rural and remote Western Australia. Its core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to people from large regional centres to those in small remote communities.
To effectively support its operations, WACHS has established a Command Centre which leverages video-conferencing and high-tech information technologies to provide centralised services for a number of functions, which includes Acute Patient Transfer Coordination (APTC).
Through this procurement process, WACHS (the Customer) is seeking to procure a solution for the Acute Patient Transfer Coordination (APTC) Function. The APTC solution will enable a standardised process for the request and management of Inter-Hospital Patient Transfer (IHPT) coordinated by the WACHS Command Centre APTC Function.
The Customer’s preference is for the solution to be delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS) in a hosting environment provided by the Contractor; however, where this is not possible, the Customer will consider hosting the solution on WA Health managed infrastructure and platforms on the internal Department of Health network.
