Description
The Electricity Supply Industry Act 1995 and the Electricity Supply Industry (Price Control) Regulations 2003 provide for the independent Regulator to determine prices for declared monopoly electrical services. The Regulator has commenced preliminary work in relation to the next scheduled investigation into the pricing policies of Aurora Energy Pty Ltd in relation to its distribution network services and retail tariffs for non-contestable customers. The Investigation and Determination are to be finalised by 30 October 2007. The Regulator is seeking consultancy services to assist with all aspects of the planning, development and implementation of the 2007 electricity pricing investigation, particularly with respect to the financial and economic analysis of the costs of distribution and retail services for tariff customers. The period of engagement is from 1 November 2006 to 30 October 2007. It is expected that services would be required between 3 days per week and 5 days per week at various stages in the period.
