Description
This procurement seeks to fund a Health-economic and Pharmaco-economic Technical Service between 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2016 to provide the existing National Cancer Cooperative Trials Groups (CTGs) supported by Cancer Australia with access to high quality, expert advice and Technical Services relating to the inclusion of health and pharmaco-economic measures/ sub-studies into industry-independent cancer clinical trials developed by the CTGs.
In achieving this requirement the technical services provided will include, but may not be limited to:
• Building capacity of health economic skills within the 13 CTGs;
• Providing advice, support and develop appropriate health economic and pharmaco-economic protocols for new industry-independent cancer clinical trials developed by the CTGs;
• Providing expert advice on data collection and analysis for health economic and pharmaco-economic elements of cancer clinical trials;
• Establishing collaborative relationships with Technical Services funded by Cancer Australia.
Tenderers are required to describe; the technical services to be provided including clear milestones and timelines, the systems for engaging the CTGs and delivering the technical services, the structure management and oversight of the technical service, the demonstrated experience of the tenderers, availability of staff, risk management and evaluation and monitoring.
Please note that funding will not be provided for the conduct and analysis of specific health economic and pharmaco economic sub-studies or cancer clinical trials. It is expected that funds for these activities will be obtained through alternate grant/funding schemes.
Tenders may be submitted by a single organisation or a consortium.
A Tender submitted by a consortium will only be considered if:
a. it will identify a lead agency to enter into a contractual relationship;
b. the Tender clearly specifies the details of all members of the consortium; and
c. a single point of contact for the consortium is specified.
