Southern Ports invites Offers from suitably qualified and experienced Respondents for the supply of the works.
The works comprise of the realignment and widening of a section of the existing Hughes Road in Esperance (Site) and consist of the following main works elements:
- Implementation of traffic control measures to maintain Port user traffic;
- Clearing and mulching of existing vegetation;
- Stripping and stockpiling of topsoil for respreading;
- Bulk earthworks to widen and flatten off an existing sloped sand batter and install drainage infrastructure adjacent to the road for respreading;
- Managing and coordinating the activities of Aboriginal cultural monitors;
- Excavated material from the bulk earthworks is to be utilised as fill in the designated area. The fill will require placement and compaction;
- Installation of embankment scour protection of new slopes;
- Demolish and dispose existing steel post and timber rail retaining wall;
- Pavement works to widen the existing Hughes Road width; and
- Ancillary works, such as road marking and safety barrier.
