Williamstown Hospital Cooling Plant Replacement

Western Health seeks tenders from suitably qualified companies for the replacement of cooling plant at Williamstown Hospital, Railway Crescent, Williamstown VIC 3016. Western Health seeks to deliver this project by 30 June 2021.

The extent of the tenders being requested is detailed in the accompanying drawings and specifications; should a party choose to submit a tender response they are requested to take into account the attached trading terms, and Tender terms and conditions when developing the response. Part 7 of this document includes the drawings and specification for the works.

Project background

The Williamstown Hospital has two existing chillers located in the plant room (ground floor) and two cooling towers located on the roof of the plant room. The works include the replacement of this plant including replacement of pumps, pipework and the mechanical switchboard.

The tenderer will need to consider the careful staging of the works as Williamstown Hospital is a 90 bed facility, operating in a 24 hour live environment with an Emergency Department and operating theatres.
