New State-wide Panel for Hire of Private Plant.

Building on the success of three regional based plant panels which will expire later in October, the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) is conducting an Expression of Interest to create a single ongoing State-wide panel for the hire of plant and machinery for fire related and civil works.The new panel will start November 2010 and will replace the existing panel arrangements.Works include fire prevention and suppression as well as civil works such as roading, drainage, minor bridge or crossing works, vegetation management and silviculture works.It is anticipated the only contractors engaged for all future works will be those approved and on the panel.
