Description
The Queensland Government is seeking proposals for the design and modification of 1, 4X4 diesel cab chassis for use as a road rail inspection vehicle.
- The first build shall be reviewed and approved by stakeholders from Queensland Rail prior to the construction of subsequent 23 road rail inspection vehicles.
- The vehicles are to have a GVM of less than 4.5 tonnes and a wheelbase of less than 3.5 metres.
- The modifications and fitment of rail equipment to the vehicles shall comply with regulations and allow the vehicles to be registered in Queensland.
- The vehicles are expected to perform reliably over a 6 year period given a minimum 20,000 rail kilometres and minimum 30,000 road kilometres use per year.
