Identification, Review and Prioritisation of Larger Scale Water Storage Options in the Upper South Esk (including Ben Lomond Area) and Upper Macquarie River Catchments

The objective of this consultancy is to determine the key water development options that could most cost-effectively and strategically provide irrigation water to the areas of land where further irrigation development would provide the best long-term benefits. Specifically, the consultancy aims to identify and prioritise for further detailed investigation, larger scale water storage proposals (>5,000 ML annual availability) in the upper South Esk (including Ben Lomond area) and upper Macquarie catchments, with the prioritisation to be based on potential socioeconomic benefits, environmental (including heritage) impacts, water availability and financial viability.
