Description

Routine maintenance and minor works throughout the State road network in Tasmania, including the National Highway, is presently carried out by two contracts that cover the Southern and Northern regions of the State. These contracts end on 30 June 2008. To replace the contracts, the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources (DIER) intends to let three separate fixed-term contracts, one for each of the North East, North West and Southern regions, to commence on 1 July 2008. DIER is undertaking a two-stage process to select a contractor for each region. The purpose of this Expression of Interest stage is to select a short-list of contractors who will be eligible to participate in the Request for Tender stage, which is intended to commence in April 2007.
