Description

The recently established National Recovery and Resilience Agency (NRRA) and an enhanced Emergency Management Australia (EMA) will provide expertise in natural disaster response, recovery and resilience, working with affected communities and all levels of government and industry. The agencies will be supported to deliver their outcomes by the soon to be established Australian Climate Service (ACS).

These new initiates will necessitate considerable input from Geoscience Australia’s Place, Space and Communities Division (PSC Division) as the lead provider of national mapping information and data science and modelling in relation to natural hazards.

The PSC Division seeks to uplift these capabilities to support EMA and the NRRA, ACS and associated initiatives over the next four years.

The PSC Division is seeking to make structural and long lasting changes to increase its capability outcomes. This will be secured through the PSC Division’s Business-led Modernisation Program (Program).

As part of the Program, the PSC Division requires the provision of Personnel by the successful Tenderer(s). These Personnel will form self-managed business units (Business Units) that will deliver the Requirement as outlined in the Request for Tender.

These Business Units will work under the direction of Geoscience Australia, but the Tenderer will be responsible for managing and supervising the Business Units and ensuring the delivery of specified outcomes.
