Description
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is the principal support agency for the operations of Parliament House. As well as its responsibility for the building, the department provides protective security services, Hansard and broadcasting services for the Parliament, and ICT, library and research services to members of Parliament, parliamentary committees and other building occupants. The Parliamentary Library is responsible for the selection, processing and indexing of full-text material for inclusion in the library and media databases on ParlInfo (the Australian Parliament`s document repository). These materials are specifically selected and indexed to assist Senators, Members, parliamentary committees and parliamentary staff carry out their duties. DPS wishes to engage a suitably qualified contractor(s) with the capacity to provide approximately 300 hours per month of professional indexing services to the Parliamentary Library in Canberra. Successful tenderers are required to meet appropriate technical and profession standards which are detailed in the tender documentation.
